For those that don't know, the new facility is being built by the same people that built Delta Park in Portland. It will be a 5 plex with 4 fields being
310' and the championship field being 325'. Center concession stand and play area for the kids. I have attached a link to the site.

we've always wondered why the softball scene in spokane wasn't bigger than it was. We would love to play in Spokane.

Beacuse the best fields we have now are 275' fences and the infield is like a blacktop

Looking at weekends I will be shooting for the first weekend of June. That will allow ALL NSA tournaments to keep the same dates without trying to move them.
Fuzzy Buckenburger (local ASA director) is VERY supportive of bring this tournament to Spokane. I believe I could take 40 teams if we could play on Friday night. If there was enough interest from ladies and coed I would add those divisions as well. AVALON # 35

I am sure we would love to play there...sounds like a gorgeous park...my only issue (as a BoE TD) is 3 beast events in June, including two back to back
weekends (also that is graduation weekend for a lot of schools, some ppl care about that kinda crap ;} )....but i def agree Spokane should be representing
stronger in NSA and eastern WA in general....those clowns at Avalon shouldnt be the only ambassadors for the area...
Would the city of spokane charge an arm and a another body part for field
rental....*coughyakimacough*??? Letus know what you all come up with and we should talk seriously about it at our directors meeting this fall.

YES I would rather have it a different weekend but here is the problem so it may come down to trying to switch weekends with another director. I know that
Avalon and several other E. Washington teams have expressed interest in getting NSA to Spokane. I know that I can draw local teams because I have been playing
up there for several years before relocating to the TCs...again. BUT I CANNOT TAKE A LOSS ON THE TOURNAMENT FINANCIALLY. I CAN BREAK EVEN AND STILL BE OK. In
Spokane weekend selection is important because there are teams that have schedules set that they have played for several years and are not willing to break.
So even though it is going to be my tournament it will take an effort by all of us involved in NSA to make it happen. April ( really good chance of snow on the fields) May 1-2 Cinco in SS May 8 Maddogs TC MOTHERS DAY May 15-16 KIP and that other big tournament May 22-23 MEMORIAL DAY May 29-30 E. WASH NIT June 5-6 kind of a yakima attempt/ Grad/ possible ASA Qualifier in CdA June 12-13 KIP June 19-20 (3rd weekend of June big local tournament) June 26-27 DSAC in Yakima and HOOPFEST (will not try and compete with HF) July 3-4 HOLIDAY July 10-11 Moses Lake and GOOSTOWN July 17-18 Joker July 24-25 Zamora and possible state tournaments July 31-AUGUST State Tournaments AVALON # 35

Is there a division in Hoopfest for the guys that FEEL like they are 55 and older? The last game just kicked my ass.

What was the turnout for the NIT? If there were not enough teams....that might be a good weekend to try something out...Maybe get the states support and run
the NIT that weekend up there.....And fill it out with upper brackets with some other type of format....Just a thought...

The only bracket that was a go for the NIT was the "E" division. I would love to hold an NIT up here.

an NIT in spokane would be a fabulous idea, fill it out with a rec tourney and maybe an upper and that could be a great weekend.

aren't NITs run by the state directors?

I actually had another thought on that....where is worlds next year for each division? That almost by itself drives whether teams play in an NIT...the
tri-cities/E. Wa one at the end of May had only E because E is in vegas this year....the other divisions were in BFE...or at least not the west coast, so no
participation...if at least one of the bigger divisions ( E or D) has a west coast worlds then that could be the NIT part...and then a tourney to balance it
out, rec, womens, co-ed....no c teams though, those fargin iceholes dont sign up for anything...
